EAS engaged to develop REDD project in Aceh

EAS has been engaged by Global EcoRescue to help develop a Reduced Emissions from Forest Degradation and Deforestation (REDD) in the Leuser Ecosystem, Aceh, Indonesia.

EAS role is to develop a Project Design Document in accordance with the Voluntary Carbon Standard and the Climate Community and Biodiversity standard.  

The Leuser Ecosystem is one is one of the most diverse expanses of tropical forest left in the world. It covers an area of 2.7 million hectares in the provinces of Nanggroe Aceh Darussalam (NAD) and North Sumatra. EAS is very excited to be involved with such an important project.
